Sharmaji, your site is pure nostalgia. Didn't know it originated in T & T - one of the world's most tranquil abodes. I have great memories of my tour to T & T, Suriname & Guyana, covering Lata Mangeshkar concerts.

I happened to stumble upon your page while doing a search for some local Trinidadian artistes and was delighted to find such a wonderful piece written about my late uncle Chrishna Manoo. I am not sure how you may have known him, but I shared this page with his children and we were all deeply touched by the kind words written of him. He was truly a great singer and musician who had a passion and love for music and his culture that could not be contained. We were all blessed to have been witnesses to his amazing gifts. I thank you once more for this truly beautiful tribute to him. Thank you for your pieces on all the wonderful local artistes.Thank you for keeping his memory alive. Sincerely, Shalini Manoo.

Congrats to Pt. Ashram for all his hard work and dedication to make this possible for us so we can remember where we came from and not forgetting our culture and helping us educate our children. Now I can sit and show my kids and tell them stories so that they know the lifestyle we had. Keep up the good work. God Bless

During a lazy Sunday here in Toronto I was online and for some reason I did an online search under my father's name. I wasn't expecting anything to show up however much to my surprise thanks to your website www.hindisongstt.com an old picture of my father appeared with a link to your website. I was elated at this. It has been 10 years since he passed and I would imagine that not many pictures of him still exist which made me seeing his image show up such a treat to see. Thank you for creating this section of your website (Past & Present Pandits of Trinidad). Seeing my fathers image was just one thing that gave me a feeling of happiness. More than that was looking at all the old pictures of the Pandits past and seeing their facial characteristics and how years of their struggle was reflected on their faces. It is a reminder that generations struggled to maintain our Dharma so distant from our country of true origin and we this generation and the next should work just as hard to build on their sacrifice. Please keep the good work up, it is appreciated.
