Pandit Mahase Maharaj
Pandit Mahase Maharaj who hails from St. Johns Road, Avocat, South Trinidad was the Guru of many in Trinidad and abroad. Pandit Mahase came from a long lineage of Pandits, himself being a very versatile Pandit. He taught many Pandits in Ramayan classes which he conducted for many years. He was also a Classical Singer, Lyricist and Musician. He composed Bhajans and Classical songs for many famous singers like the late K.B. Singh, Yusuff Khan, Gangadhar Vidoor Jagroop, Haniff Mohammed and also Ashook Yankaran and Lily Ramcharan to name but a few. Pt. Mahase Maharaj for over 60 years, conducted many Ramayan Satsangs and Yagnas throughout Trinidad and abroad. We at Hindisongstt pay our utmost respect to the revered the late Pandit Mahase Maharaj for his sterling contribution to Sanatan Dharma.
