Mehdi Hassan the undisputed Ghazal King was born in 1927 in Luna, State of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He was born into a family of musicians. He received his early training from his father Ustad Azeem Khan in various styles of music. After partition the family migrated to Pakistan. He sang in many Pakistani films over the years. Ustad Mehdi Hassan has made popular lovely renditions like ‘Ranjish Hi Sahi’, ‘Mujhe Tum Nazar Se Gira To Rahe Ho’, ‘Duniya Kisi Ke Pyar’, ‘Rafta Rafta Woh Meri” and thousands more. The Great Singer has graced most of the Major International Stages across the World. Fortunate were the people of Trinidad and Tobago to have also seen him Performing Live. His beautiful renditions have captured the hearts of many Heads of State and fans all over the World. We at Hindisongstt are very saddened at the passing of This Great Legend Mehdi Hassan passed away at a Hospital in Karachi after being ill for a long period of time, on Wednesday June 13, 2012. He was 84. The undisputed Ghazal King had captured the hearts of fans across the globe. We wish to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and million of fans of this Great Icon.
